Gas caps for morons, are not "Bold Moves"

You know, if Ford thinks this is revolutionary, or "Innovating" they're really in for a hard lesson.

This is the biggest piece of "non-news" that nobody should care about.

Hey Bill, if you want to sell some cars, don't worry about the gas caps, worry about the crap that sits on dealers' lots.

Bring us some real "Bold Moves" like the Reflex, Faction, EcoSport, Fiesta, C1 Focus, Fairlane and Bronco!

It may not be a Bold Move but it is a good thing. The new capless fuel filler is better for the environment. It prevents any fumes from escaping.

I think people are getting way too excited about this one press release. It's just a small feature Ford is adding to its lineup. It was a slow news cycle. It got picked up. Ford never said "this will save Ford" or anything even close. I think it's kind of cool and when was the last time anyone innovated the gas cap?

I noticed, too, about the gas caps and like MyFordDream2, couldn't understand the big deal. And it's still no big deal. C'mon, Ford's developing the "ethanol corridor", hybrid tech over in Sweden, etc., all far more news worthy than-gasp!-a gas cap.

It may not be a big thing, but it is innovation. I also doubt that this is anywhere near the only thing that they have coming...
